Searching for solutions

Discussion :

1.     Improve access to mental healthcare

·   Increase online platform or mobile application so that people can seek professional help during the lockdown

·   Increase the number of mental health specialists and train non-specialist to deliver mental healthcare

2.     We should learn how to deal with stress

·   We should figure out the most suitable way for us by exploring more. For instance, we should pick up a hobby or something that can calm us down.

·   We should know when to reach out to someone.

3.     Surround ourselves with good people (socially and digitally)

4.     Socialize with the community nearby more through online platforms

5.     Promote mental health support

6.     Read information from the internet

·   Fake news will increase our anxiety

7.     Protect yourself and be supportive to others.

·   Assisting others in their time of need can benefit the person receiving support as well as the helper

·   Example: Check in on your neighbours or people in your community who may need some extra assistance by phone

·   Working together as one community can help to create solidarity in addressing Covid-19 together.

8.     Avoid things that will affect your health

·   Cigarettes, drugs, alcohol

9.     Practice self-care

·   Maintain a routine, exercise and have a healthy diet
